How long does each course take to complete?

Most courses run between 4 and 20 weeks depending on the exam. You can move faster or slower — access is granted for a full 12 months after enrolment.

Is WispGold officially affiliated with the Royal Colleges, GMC, NHS or DVLA?

No. WispGold is an independent education provider. Our courses are preparation aligned with the published exam blueprints; they are not endorsed by, or officially affiliated with, the Royal Colleges, GMC, NHS or DVLA. You register for exams directly with the relevant awarding body.

What is OET and why do I need it for NHS jobs?

The Occupational English Test (OET) is a healthcare-specific English exam accepted by UK regulators including the GMC and NMC. Most NHS employers require Grade B in each sub-skill before they will process registration. Our OET course prepares you for exactly that standard.

What is the difference between OET and IELTS for healthcare professionals?

OET tasks are set entirely in clinical scenarios — patient consultations, referral letters, medical listening extracts. IELTS is a general academic English test. Both are accepted by the GMC and NMC, but most practising clinicians find OET more natural.

How do I register for the UK Driver's Licence theory test through WispGold?

You book the DVSA theory test directly on the official gov.uk site. Our course prepares you for every part of the syllabus and includes hazard-perception practice — you'll be ready to book as soon as your provisional licence arrives.

Can international students without prior UK experience join?

Absolutely. Around 78% of our students are studying from outside the UK when they start. Everything you need — from timezone-friendly live sessions to UK-context content — is built in.

What payment methods and currencies are accepted?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay and Google Pay in GBP, USD, EUR, INR, AED and NGN. Bank transfer is available for group enrolments.

Is there a certificate of completion, and is it recognised by employers?

Yes — every student who completes all modules and passes the internal mock receives a WispGold Certificate of Completion. It is a study certificate, evidence of your preparation and CPD hours. It is not a substitute for the Royal College qualification or the DVSA test itself.

What happens if I fail my Royal College exam after taking the course?

You keep full access to the course, mocks and mentor community for 12 months from enrolment, at no extra cost. We also run free strategy sessions for students planning a re-sit, and can pair you with a mentor who has been through the same situation.
